NewsIT&T wins business of the month! Serge Niazi and Pat Nolan IT&T recently won Business of the Month at the Illawarra Business Chamber's (IBC) After hours networking function. Serge Niazi, Director of IT&T proudly accepted the award on behalf of the company and said, "I am so happy to be part of the IBC program as it is an excellent vehicle for fostering relationships with other businesses in the Illawarra region," said Serge. "My business is a passion for me as I started it out of my garage at home and it has grown so much in the last seven years. The current team at IT&T are extremely versatile and we are able to offer our customers expertise in areas ranging from technical support to sales and marketing," he said. Pat Nolan, Area General Manager from Telstra Country Wide (TCW) presented the award to Serge and said, "IT&T are a very interesting company as they offer a unique service to their customers by providing an end to end service with products ranging from phone systems and mobiles to surveillance systems and IT solutions. They are literally a one stop shop and TCW will continue to support them in their capacity as a Telstra dealer." said Pat. Management 
Serge Niazi is the Director and founder of the innovative IT&T which he established in 1999. He was the first person in Australia to import a portable hard drive which stores 20 gigabytes worth of data in an easily transportable form. Serge said the portable hard drive has a number of business applications, including transferring large amounts of data between work and home computers. "I really love the business I'm in and especially building relationships with my clients where I can provide them with useful solutions for their business needs. It is really rewarding when a customer calls back to say that the services and products we have provided them have helped increase the productivity and efficiency of their business." said Serge. Serge has a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Masters Degree in Commerce, specialising in Computer Based Business Information Systems. He also worked for a number of local and Sydney based companies before establishing his own business. Serge is married with two kids and enjoys spending time with his family when he's not busy looking after his clients. 
Grad Petrovic Grad Petrovic started out in the Illawarra business scene in 1994. He began his own business as an Automotive Electrician after completing his apprenticeship in Sydney in 1993. Grad ran his Automotive Electrical business for eight years attaining a list of loyal customers and contacts throughout the Illawarra community. Grad went onto running other businesses in the retail sector and during this time Grad went on to further study to enhance his knowledge in the audio visual and telecommunications industry. Grad is now working in partnership with Serge Niazi at IT&T where he can utilize his extensive experience gained in the telecommunications field. "I believe helping our clients to achieve a more cost effective telecommunications solution is very importance and I only recommend products that will be beneficial to our clients' needs." said Grad. Grad is a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and enjoys socializing with friends and family. Soccer, Rugby League, Golf and a beer at the local are Grads most favored interests and is convinced he will one day attend an international soccer game, possibly even the next world cup providing all his customers needs are taken care of prior to his departure! 
Service team Paul has worked with IT&T (formerly Betacall) for approximately nine years. His role is that of Technical Manager/ Engineer and he is responsible for various activities such as scheduling jobs for Technicians and Contractors, team operation support and technical Support to the field technicians. "I look after the PABX programming on Panasonic and non Panasonic products as well as installation of these systems. I also attend to customer premises faults for PABX and network related problems and being up to date with the latest technical information on Panasonic products is an absolute must," said Paul. Paul also provides customer technical support over the phone and via site visits as required. He is also responsible for supplying quotes for all Panasonic phone systems. "In my spare time I like to indulge in various hobbies such as fishing, camping, building/ renovating which leaves me no time for anything else other than annoying my wife with my busy lifestyle." said Paul. 
Phil Flynn Phil has been with IT&T (formerly Betacall) for the last seven years as a Technician. Prior to working at IT&T Phil worked for Telstra as a Senior Technical Officer and was responsible for installing and maintaining PABX's among other things. Phil's knowledge of the telecommunications industry is extensive and he is a true asset to IT&T and no job is too hard for Phil. "I really enjoy the interaction with customers and it is so rewarding when we have installed a phone system and the customer calls back to thank us for proving a professional and reliable business tool for their business." said Phil. Phil was in the Army reserves for many years and has been awarded several medals for service to Australia. 
Eugin Dente Eugin has worked at IT&T since January this year as a Technician. He is responsible for Installing phone systems, alarms, CCTV and antenna systems. Previously Eugin worked in Sydney as an electronics technician for a company that specialised in repairing TV’s as well as the installations of Hi-fi’s, TV’s, VCR’s and digital set top boxes. “I enjoy the variety of my role at IT&T and the fact that each day offers a new challenge which I thoroughly enjoy. My tasks range from installing Panasonic phone systems to laying cables and installing CCTV devices.” said Eugin. Eugin’s main interests include basketball, fishing and various outdoor activities. 
Alastair Wilson Alastair has worked for IT&T since November 2002 as a Computer technician. And during this time has shown that he is extremely versatile. Alastair custom builds PCs, matching their specifications to client needs as well as reselling HP servers, desktops and notebook PCs where appropriate. He also troubleshoots and repairs PCs and laptops and arranges licensing for Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec and other software. "Another task that I am responsible for is configuring and maintaining small local area networks as well as arranging ADSL connections by determining the right broadband plan for each customer's usage patterns and requirements." he said "When not at work I'm heavily involved with my church in both youth and worship leading. I spend my summers waiting for winter so I can barrack for the mighty Sydney Swans, and I believe the music of U2 is inspired by God for the betterment of man." said Alastair. 
Sales Nicole has been part of the team at IT&T for almost a year now taking on the role of Sales Manager. Having recently graduated from university she welcomes the idea of taking on new challenges. She finds her job to be "a learning experience everyday. I like to take on things that challenge me and this is definitely it. I am lucky in the fact that I have found a job that I enjoy and that allows me to interact with customers, I am very much a people person." If not at work, Nicole enjoys spending her free time Acting, Directing or Recording vocals with her DJ, but most nights she'll be training at Capoiera, Tennis or Soccer or just relaxing with the people she loves. 
Mary Gorgievski Mary joined IT&T 18 months ago after a decade working for another mobile phone provider. "I handle Telstra Mobile, Fixed Net and Bigpond connections for IT&T. The experience I have gained in the mobiles space has equipped me to assist our clients in all things mobile. I can help by upgrading their existing mobiles and accessories to the latest technology available; analysing their phone accounts to ensure they are receiving the best value and all the benefits that Telstra can provide (such as Bonus and Reward Options). I can organise a complete telecommunications package to suit your needs." said Mary. Mary is married with two kids which means she is on the go all the time ferrying them to and from various activities. 
Marketing Maria has only recently joined IT&T as their Marketing Manager and plans to implement an exciting Marketing program that will include regular customer newsletters, customer forums and various promotions. "I am really excited about being part of IT&T because we are such a unique business in that we can provide a total business solution for our customers, from setting up their phone systems and computers to supplying state of the art security systems. The great thing about IT&T is that we can also maintain these systems so essentially we are a one stop shop for all your business needs," said Maria. Before starting at IT&T Maria worked for Telstra for 12 years in various capacities from customer service and sales to Marketing. She now brings with her a wealth of knowledge to the role of Marketing Manager at IT&T and the future looks very bright for this versatile company. "My interests out of work are varied and include movies, writing, dancing and entertaining friends at our home at beautiful Shell Cove." she said. 
Accounts and Administration Danielle is in charge of the Accounts Department at IT&T and the overall administrative activities of the business. "I have been working with Serge since early 2002 and help him with all the administrative duties required for the Company, BAS returns and other related activities," said Danielle. "I also implement procedures needed for the day to day running of the business and am in charge of all aspects of Payroll." she said. "I enjoy yoga, walking, reading, swimming and any kind of outdoor activities as I like to keep active. I also enjoy going to the movies and the theatre." said Danielle.
Ross Marshall Ross has worked with IT&T as a web designer for about 6 months. His main responsibilities are designing and updating websites. He also designs promotional material for IT&T including advertisements, posters, business cards etc. World's Greatest Shave for a Cure Day IT&T in conjunction with Tomax Security Industries will be hosting an exciting event on the 15th March at 99 Kenny St Wollongong. The World's Greatest Shave for a Cure day is now an annual fundraising event for the Leukaemia foundation and not only is it a lot of fun but it's also a great way to support patients and families living with leukaemia, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. There will be many activities on the day such as a Jumping castle for the kids, sausage sizzle, Telstra Next G trailer, and of course not forgetting the brave people who will have their heads shaved for this worthwhile cause. There will also be heaps of prizes to be won such as a Prepaid mobile phone and NRL jerseys. So the only place to be on Thursday the 15th March between 10am and 2pm will be 99 Kenny St Wollongong.
